UNBREAKABLE SPIRIT

About the Binyamin Airley Invitational

The Binyamin Airley Invitational is an annual Boys Varsity Basketball Tournament held in South Florida, bringing together Jewish high schools and Yeshiva teams from across the region.

Founded in 2025, the tournament celebrates athletic excellence, unity, and community spirit. More than just a competition, it emphasizes sportsmanship, connection, and shared values—uniting players, schools, and families through basketball and chesed (acts of kindness).

The tournament is named in memory of IDF Sgt. Binyamin Meir Airley, 21, who was killed in action on November 18, 2023, while fighting Hamas terrorists in Gaza.

Sgt. Airley’s courage, selflessness, and unwavering commitment to his people continue to inspire all who learn his story. Through this event, we honor his legacy by fostering the same dedication, teamwork, and unity that he exemplified.

Supporting Beit Binyamin

The Invitational proudly supports Beit Binyamin, a center in Safed, Israel, established in Binyamin’s memory.

Beit Binyamin offers therapeutic retreats, volunteer opportunities, and spiritual-healing programs for IDF soldiers, bereaved families, and others impacted by war.

By connecting the energy of young athletes to the spirit of healing and resilience in Israel, the Invitational extends its mission far beyond the court—building bridges of compassion, strength, and hope across continents.

More Than a Game

In addition to the 12-game tournament, student-athletes take part in a community service project in partnership with Chai Lifeline Southeast—hosting children and their siblings for a basketball clinic and arts-and-crafts session.

These experiences highlight that teamwork, empathy, and kindness are as vital off the court as they are on it.

The Binyamin Airley Invitational is more than a basketball showcase—it’s a celebration of community, where every play and every act of giving strengthens the bonds of faith, friendship, and perseverance.
